Queen Mary II of Scotland (Mary Elizabeth Anne Victoria; December 7, 1989) is the eldest daughter of the late Prince James (*1965-1989) and his wife the Duchess of Haddington. Upon her birth she was second in line to succeed her grandfather King James VIII after her father. Six days after her birth her father died in a car crash and she became first in line for the Scottish throne after her grandfather. When her grandfather died in 2011 she succeded him as Queen of Scotland on 29 September 2011. She's the first Queen regent of Scotland in 447 years since Mary, Queen of Scots.
